Esprimo Promise Terms and Conditions

Promotional period 01/10/08 to 31/03/09. Claims must be submitted online and received by us with a copy of the invoice within 21 days of the purchase date.

  1. Fujitsu Siemens Computer customers are entitled to claim back the Purchase Price of your Esprimo computer if it develops a technical fault within one year of purchase or up to a maximum of three if you have purchased a two year extended warranty, subject to the conditions below. (Please note the notebook and extended warranty have to be purchased and registered at the same time).
  2. Purchase Price means the purchase price paid for a qualifying product but excluding delivery charges and the price of any accessories or other applications purchased with the Notebook.
  3. Technical fault means the physical hardware of your notebook and excludes the following:
    • Case cracks and broken plastics
    • Display panels containing only a small number of pixels that have failed
    • Physical damage such as broken keys, smashed display, liquid spillages etc
    • Software issues
    • System configuration issues
    • Infection by virus or other malware
    • BIOS updates
    • Battery packs that are older than 1 year

    This promotion does not extend to faults claimed under warranty whereby the machine has been damaged due to external influence (such as transit). In the unlikely event that you should receive a machine that is subject to external damage, this should be immediately returned to your reseller.

    Fujitsu Siemens computers which are subject to a product recall, are not included in this promotion.

    This offer only applies to your notebook and excludes all peripherals, options, accessories, and software.

    Claims that are considered to be the result of deliberate interference with the notebook - regardless of the appearance of the fault - will be rejected as invalid. Fujitsu Siemens Computer's decision regarding this matter will be final and payment will be refused. No correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding Fujitsu Siemens Computer's decision. In cases of uncertainty other factors surrounding such claims will be taken into account. These factors will include where coincidental statistics of notebook failures are unusually high. Fujitsu Siemen's promotions are executed fairly and honestly and with the best of intentions at all times.

    The promoter's decision is final and Fujitsu Siemens Computers will not enter into any correspondence once a decision has been made.

  4. This promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 16 years and over only, excluding employees of Fujitsu Siemens Computers, their families or anyone else professionally connected with this offer. No third party applications permitted. We reserve the right to closely monitor usage of the promotional website, including users IP addresses, so that we may identify misuse, and disqualify applications if we have reason to believe the terms of the promotion have been breached.
  5. This promotion is only open and applicable to the purchase of specific qualifying products; ESPRIMO MOBILE U, M, D or X notebooks and ESPRIMO E / P 3xxx, ESPRIMO E / P 5xxx , ESPRIMO E / P 7xxx, ESPRIMO C and ESPRIMO Q models. A maximum of 10 units in total may be registered per private buyer or business.
  6. The offer is not transferrable to another individual or business, claims will only be accepted by the original purchaser.
  7. Only original Fujitsu Siemens accessories and upgrades should be installed during the period of ownership.
  8. This offer is limited to one claim per computer. Replacement machines do not qualify.
  9. Claims for a refund are processed within 28 days of a validated claim.
  10. In order to qualify, you must submit your application within 21 days of purchasing your product, by submitting an application you agree to these terms in their entirety.
  11. The closing date for applications is 21st April 2009. Any applications received after this date will be deemed invalid.
  12. To qualify for the promotion you must send the following documents:
    • A fully completed application form, printed after completing the application process online at www.esprimopromiseclaims.co.uk
    • A copy of your purchase invoice clearly detailing the purchase of your product and dated within the promotional period – despatch notes etc are not acceptable.
  13. Applications will be screened for validity to ensure that the transaction made is a bona fide purchase of the qualifying product.
  14. Your proof of purchase will not be posted back to you - please do not send the original.
  15. Provided that the terms and conditions of this promotion have been met, you will be sent a claim pack by post, containing full details of the claim procedure. This should be kept in a safe place, as the original documentation will be required to complete a claim.
  16. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Fujitsu Siemens Computers cannot accept liability for any applications lost, damaged or destroyed in the post.
